On going primarily towards the meaning of search engine, it refers to an application that searches for, and retires, data based on some criteria, especially one that searches the internet for documents containing specified words. So,in very general sense, search engine means applications that searches for data and information.
So, a search engine is a software system that is designed to carry out web searches. They search the world wide web in a very systematic and scientific manner for a particular information specified in a textual web search query.
Search engines have become a very easy and better way in learning approach. Search engines can influence anyone than they think. We can clearly say, learning and making learn is not complete or just incomplete without the involvement of search engines.
Learners use search engines to meet information and ideas, key points, solve problems, increase base area of knowledge and reduce curiosity. Search engines are sources of fact check and facts findings. Searching online to our doubts has benefits over benefits. It increases the ability and creativity of a learner.

- Every search engines may not be user friendly. People who are not habitual may feel difficulty on going through them.
- There is high degree of competition among the developers of search engines. So, a type of virtual confusion may arise within the learner which one is suitable.
